Interactive Account Supervisor

The interactive account supervisor is responsible for maintaining and building strong client
relationships through coordination of account service activities, regular contact with client
marketing people, and the marshalling of agency resources. The interactive account supervisor
should be fully versed at all times on the status and good standing of all interactive client
accounts and individual projects, and be prepared to step in to support account service personnel,
correct problems, and resolve issues. This person is critical to the ongoing health of agency
interactive account relations and, consequently, to the ongoing health of the agency.
The interactive account supervisor provides input and advice in developing strategic interactive
marketing plans for clients. After plans are developed and presented to clients, the interactive
account supervisor carries out the plan on a daily basis. Outstanding social media experience and personal high-level activity on platforms such
as Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare, and Linkedin is a must.
The interactive account supervisor is also responsible for gaining new business leads from
existing clients and outside contacts.
- Responsibilities

- Provides top-notch client service and builds marketing partner relationships with
interactive clients.
- Works in tandem with the Account and Interactive Creative Director to identify web/
interactive solutions for client needs, and with traditional account supervisors to
coordinate fully integrated interactive/traditional marketing campaigns.
- Develops and executes interactive marketing strategy proposals, and advises traditional
account team on how to include interactive marketing as part of overall strategic
marketing plans.
- Consults on the development and presentation of all interactive marketing proposals to
ensure such plans remain focused on the objectives of approved client strategic marketing
plans.
- Liaises with partners or freelance resources, as needed.
- Analyzes web/interactive properties for effectiveness and recommends improvements
based on knowledge of clients, their brands, products, services, and marketing objectives.
- Identifies new technologies for communications solutions.
- Estimating interactive projects by working with internal + external teams and ensuring
estimate encompasses strategy and scope of work.
- Serves as a supporting interactive contact for assigned clients, and as a primary contact
for client marketing managerial personnel.
- Attends client presentations, meetings, and visits as needed.
- Works with interactive team to select effective online promotions and advertising
vehicles pertinent to interactive clients.
- Consults with account and interactive teams in creation of client websites.
- Keeps apprised of clients' products/services/marketing developments, and reads client
industry trade journals and business publications to stay abreast of the competition's
activities.
- Studies month-end overviews of client's current activities, and monthly revenue
forecasts, plus plans for future development of accounts.
Seeks out new business opportunities with new and existing clients and plays a
supportive role in their development.
- Reviews interactive production schedules, estimates, costs and billings to ensure
schedules and budgets are met, and cost controls adhered to; intercedes where billing
issues arise with specific clients.
- Attends industry trade shows and demonstrations with the Interactive Creative Director to
stay current on technological innovations, trends, and new marketing opportunities.
- Represents the agency at industry functionspromotes the agency at every opportunity.
- Is fully familiar with agency credentials and specialties.
- Requirements:

- At least five years of interactive marketing experience (client, service, brand
management, advertising, interactive, direct marketing and promotion)
- At least three years in development and management of corporate websites, B2B and ecommerce, including experience in development of interactive strategies.
- A solid understanding of internet technologies and protocols is required.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills; excellent verbal and written communications
skills; analytical thinking ability.
- A sense of entrepreneurship is critical.
- Leadership and team-building skills are required.
